Richard S. Anderson, MD, FACS

Dr. Anderson grew up in Dallas, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree .He attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Anderson completed his residency in general surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and a fellowship in vascular surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Since 1988, Dr. Anderson has been in private group practice at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas where he currently practices general and vascular surgery and serves as Vice-Chair of General Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Anderson has performed thousands of laparoscopic outpatient surgeries and brings his surgical expertise to the Lap-Band procedure which he performs at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and Surgery Center of Richardson.

Robert M. Hagood, MD, FACS

Dr. Hagood is certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. He returned to Atlanta for medical school and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emory University School of Medicine. He finished his general surgical training at UT Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. In 2002, he began a general surgical practice at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and joined Southwest General Surgical Associates, P.A. He received bariatric training at UT Southwestern and is certified to perform the Lap-band procedure. Currently, he practices at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and the Surgery Center of Richardson.

He is currently a member of the following medical societies and professional organizations:

Andres U. Katz, MD, FACS, FRCS(C)

Dr. Katz obtained his medical degree in Europe and after graduation completed a residency in General Surgery at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. He completed postgraduate training at the University of Manitoba Health Science Center in Winnipeg as a fellow in Peripheral Vascular Surgery. Since 1978 he has been in private practice in Dallas. He is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and the Royal College of Surgeons and in Vascular Surgery by the Royal College of Surgery.
